Montana Spay
Neuter Task Force
PO Box 294
Butte, MT 59703
Mission:
End pet
overpopulation and animal neglect by reducing the number of unwanted animals by
offering spay/neuter support so people may continue to care for their pets.
Statement:
Since 1996,
Montana Spay Neuter Task Force has provided spay/neuter care for dogs and cats
throughout Montana, specifically helping people who could not afford surgery or
even to keep their pets otherwise. It is especially important to offer support
now, when the economy is so challenging. Shelters are full and this is how we
help lower pet overpopulation.
How we help:
Montana Spay
Neuter Task Force continues to offer spay/neuter aid to individuals and
community groups through a certificate program or by direct pay to
veterinarians at reduced rates. In 2023,
Montana Spay Neuter Task Force paid costs associated with over 1,200 cats and
dogs.
Organization:
Montana Spay
Neuter Task Force is a 501(c)(3) organization,
EIN#36-3957457, run by a small, dedicated group of all volunteers.

Note Regarding Feral Cats: Montana Spay Neuter Task Force has a long
history of working to sterilize and seek care for feral cats. However, due several factors – including
limited funds, scarce volunteers and concerns regarding the continuing care for
large feral colonies, humane living conditions, and the ability to adopt out
individual cats following sterilization – assistance for feral cat
sterilization is limited. A 501(c)(3) organization may apply for a grant for up to $500 per
quarter. For a grant application, please
